Call for expression of interest in collaborating as an external expert with the Scientific Committee established at the Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC)

The mission of the Scientific Committee established at the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain is to provide independent scientific advice and recommendations with respect to all food safety related issues relevant to the competence of the FASFC.
The Scientific Committee plays an important role in the evaluation of risks related to the food chain. To further strengthen the scientific quality of its advices and broaden its field of expertise the Scientific Committee likes to develop a list of external experts who can provide expert opinion on occasional basis in the case of specific dossiers.
Expert candidates are member of a university, high school, scientific institution, research centre or labatory and have a proven track record of expertise in the large spectrum of domains related to the safety of the food chain.
Candidates have a high professional and deontological standard, are able to provide independent advice and can understand one of the official Belgian languages.
Candidates should submit their application electronically using the ad hoc form.
Further requests for information can be send to S5.expertcall.pccb@favv.be.
